hello peasants and welcome back to another minecraft video its kingminecrafterchris and today we have a galacticraft tutorial this tutorial will be on how to make a space station once you are already in space for tutorials on how to do what i am doing right now
like taking off sealing oxygen in your space station or anything else galacticraft realted there will be a straw poll in the description so vote on that and ill do whatever is most voted for so we are taking off i'v already made a space station and this is going to be how to make a space station??!?!?
no this is going to be how to make a torus shaped space station once you reach this menu you can go to all these different planets apart from the ones in red as this current version and the only place you can make your space station is earth so when you click on earth
it will say here create a space station but i already made mine in prep for this video and there it is you can see it circling i can change the name etc. but i want to go to it
so i'm going to click it so i zoom in on it and press launch alright, and here we are in the space station had to get my controls sorted because as you can see its quite difficult to fly around and everything see, you just keep going forever yep, so
use sneak to go down use space to go up got to be flying or if you are in survival as you would be you got to use a jetpack or something else, or you got to use a lot of scaffolding but i really advise using a jetpack yeh so i'm going to show you how to make a basic torus space station and how to prepare that
is you need to get rid of this extra bit this is because we plan to spin the torus because you can spin your space stations and if you have this extra bit it will be all wonky because it hast to be perfect (fast gibberish) and this space station arrive block you haft to keep this you can change anything else around here but if you break this it can break your space station
so its where your spawn so take note of that so, what i'd do is make a torus space station and for this you need a website so we are going to move onto that program called plotz there will be a link in the description and i can show you how to design your space station see you in a second
okay i have switched to obs so we can look at this website called plotz plotz is amazing and you can use it to do any sort of shape you want so when you are at the menu, you will see this and you want to choose torus you can use these in your own time to make cool things like a baseline then you can add to it obviously so we are going to be doing a torus today
and this is where we are going to create our torus so you can go as big as you want, like yeh i have built one about 100, about this big it has taken a long time its got about 18,000 blocks i think this one has 9,000 the one i built has 18 so the more precision you have the more difficult it is the less precision its going to be less precise but its going to be easier to build because its more repetative so it depends how good you are at building
if you want to have it a lot longer and really precise or less time and less precise and for thickness, if you want to have one floor with space for cables which i highly reccomend then 5 for the floor, 6 7 for the roof then you want a 2 block gap so 8,9 10,11 yeh so id say about 11 for a single floor with room for cables on top and below id say about 11
so today one ill build about 11 and ill make it 50 i think 50 is a good number yep and the precision is going to be 1 that is the easiest to build ill get it done the fastest so, once you have decided on your torus you can have 3d or 2d depends how you prefer building i think its a lot easier to build on 2d
once you establish what you want your torus to look like you got it here now you can start on 2d this slider on this side shows you what layer you are on so we are on layer 11 and this is layer 10 and 9 and 8 all the way down to layer 6-5-4-3-2-1 layer 1
now, this is layer one and you need to make sure that you count out from the center the correct amount of blocks something i did not mention about this, is this torus is going to be difficult to build and likely wont work because there is no center block the center is between these 4 blocks therefor you need to add one or minus one to fix that
so we just added one now that is the center block of the torus then you can build out from that this means that you can build your torus where as having it one less you will run into a lot of problems and it will be off center so this is how you want to prepare everything ready to build your torus now, ill explain how you will actually build it using these numbers
these numbers, its counting how many you go out so, 1-2-3-4-5 this is from the center so from this block its 5 out then you go in 1, then 3 then in 1 then 2 then its just 1,1,1,1,1,1, then its just 2-3-5
quite simple then you do that all around the inside then the outside because the inside and outside are different ignore these light greay box they are basically showing you what the previous layer looks like so you have a reference ignore them unless you need them the number up here, is how many blocks you will use in total which is 3,392
if you plan to add windows or you need an exact number because you are in survival you can see how many you need to take with you because you need all the things for oxygen and everything else you don't want to fill your pack with blocks that you might not need to use so all you need to do is divide by 64 which is fast math 53 stacks about fast maths totally did not cut... anyway, so
53 stacks and you can build your torus that is quite a lot actually anyway, so, once you got your torus ready i highly advise you have 2 screens or, take as photo of it with a tablet or a phone and put it next to you as swapping back and forth will be a massive pain honestly, i have 2 screens so i can drag this to my other screen and have minecraft open on my primary screen
then you can start building and reference across for this video ill just have a little section of this cut out and put in the top corner so you can see what i am doing so i am just going to quickly swap to my other recording program so i can record mc back in a second
